Sorry! We have seriously been sick since Christmas. Finally (as of yesterday) everyone is pretty healthy. We've had the nasty, terrible respiratory flu (all of us) two pneumonias, one sinus infection, bronchitis and more ear infections than I can count. I have seen the thermometer at 104 or above more times than I'd like to count in the past couple months - crazy!!! So I can totally relate and sympathize! This flu bug is so nasty - plus I've heard this bug mutates so your body can't build an immunity to it, so as a result Ruby's gotten it twice and Chloe three times! Lots of fun. --- Come on 100 degrees, burn these germs out of here!

I believe that the bug mutates, not even kidding. I was in tears in the doctor's office on Thursday,I was like, this is the FOURTH time I have been sick since I had my appendix out, I thought I was supposed to feel BETTER!!! I will state it here and now, flu shots ALL AROUND for this house next year, never before, but next year FOR SURE! The countdown is on for when darling little Jackson will get it!

I must have missed something! Do they have the flu?!

I encompass all sickness as the flu, no one said it was the flu, but I will give them the flu shot next year in the hopes of eliminating all sickness, silly I know, but I really am at the end of my rope. Cynthia snapped last week, and I think it may be my turn this week! Depending on when Jackson decides to come down with whatever random illness he so desires, that will be the date of me SNAPPING! You will probably hear it in St Louis!

Ahhh, I see! I'm sorry your about to snap!! :( Why don't you come visit??!! Just what your thinking as an option right? Leave your chaos to enter a house with kids AND dogs!! I'm sending hugs!! Your not alone :)

I'm so sorry that you guys have been dealing with so much lately. I can totally sympathize. Just an FYI though, ALL flu viruses have the ability to mutate and the manufacturers of the flu vaccine can only guess (that's right, I said GUESS!) which flu virus will be most prevalent in the US based on where the epidemic starts in a remote location in Asia. That's why the vaccine that was available this last year was totally useless. The virus had mutated by the time it reached us. So, it's totally a gamble every year. I guess it's better than nothing, right? Man!!! The things I'm learning in nursing school, crazy.....

That is so funny, I totally said the same thing about the flu shot! I have always been SO against it but after this year I'm thinking it might be a winnner!

Today my goal is to wash down EVERYTHING in the house with lysol and kill every germ possible. Sound like a plan?! If it makes you feel any better nobody else got it this last go around, only Chloe and each time it seems like it has been milder. Maybe she is developing some immunities to it. I don't know, but did your Ped tell you you can alternate ibuprofen and tylenol when their fevers get really high? It's a good thing to know for next time. You alternate every 4 hours between the two when they get those 104 fevers. Hope today is better!! Take some vitamins!

He did tell me to alternate, all of them have since the first time Jackson got sick. I find that the ibuprofen works better when it comes to breaking the temp! Just my personal opinion, no doctor, just a mom!

Have fun, my mom brought over two huge cans of Lysol, they could be gone before the day is over, LOL!
